Many moms who are working at a job or building a home business find it hard to balance business and family. Especially because the root of our reason for business/career is to provide for our family.
My number one tip on balancing priorities is always in planning for success because failure to plan is a plan to fail.
We can only balance our time when we know where our time is supposed to be allocated.
So if you know that you have a block of time in the morning to do chores and a block of time in the afternoon to do business, then you're free to spend the time in between focused on your kids!
And do you know what that leads to? Dissatisfaction in everyone!
The kids feel neglected because you're working while playing. You feel frustrated because the kids are acting up while you're trying to do a time-sensitive business task. And the housework piles up because no one has time to focus on it.
It becomes an awful game of whack-a-mole where there is only losers.
Success in your business, success in your home, success with your kids and marriage! It's possible gals! Seriously!
I know because I've done this momprenuer thing my own way (with no planning) and the Mom Mastery way (plan for success). And I'll tell you over and over that the times that I apply the mom mastery principles, my day is smoother, my kids are better behaved and more fulfilled, my housework is done and my business is getting attention. Everyone is happy!
So why I don't I do that every day? Well, that story is for another day.
For today, you need to start planning your day. Don't confuse this with scheduling your day. This simply means know the main things you want to accomplish: time focused on the kids, business tasks, household tasks, etc. And find a block of time that you can assign those tasks.
Then head on over to Mom Mastery University and check out the homepage video to learn what it's all about. This was the best decision I ever made and know it will be for you too!
