One of the things I specialize in is how to use strategies to really up your game with your tax deductions and how to make bookkeeping crazy easy with your home business.

So as I mentioned, I want to share how you can just do a tiny, tiny bit of planning so that you can make even your grocery trips a tax deduction. The way to do that is if you have my free Ultimate Tax Deduction Cheat Sheet you'll see on there examples of things that are business expenses. Things like buying envelopes, buying stamps or getting printer ink - all of those things can be business deductions.

So what you want to do is when you need to go and get groceries, you make a plan that you're going to go to a super store that sells groceries but also sells envelopes, labels, and things like that.

You plan this before you go because there's a little bit of strategy that you need to do to make sure that 100% of that mileage will be tax deductible.

When you go to the super store to get your groceries and get whatever business supplies that you're getting, you need to pay for those on a separate transaction. So it's best if you have a separate business credit card or debit card that you can use.

Then you are just going to set aside the envelopes or labels or whatever business supplies it is that you're purchasing. Set that aside to pay for separately.

You have the cashier run those through first, you pay for it with your business credit or debit card, and then you put the rest of your groceries through.

What that does is it is showing that you had a legitimate reason and business purpose to go to that super store and now your entire mileage to and from the super store is a tax deduction!
