Mom Edition: Cure Styes Overnight

This week is a little treat for my mama friends out there! One of the things we've been dealing with lately at our house is the dread eye stye. Have you ever had one?! They are the worst! But this time around it was one of my two year twins who was dealing with the awful red, puffy, painful bumps on his eyelid.

Luckily, earlier this year we found a home remedy that will get rid of a stye literally overnight! In fact, my little guy was pain-free, redness free in just a few hours! So this week's YouTube video is a special one that is sharing my home remedy with you so your family can enjoy an easy way to cure those pesky styes!

How to Give Your Kids Attention When You Have Things to Do

What's a momprenuer to do when another day of school is cancelled? Invite the kids to join in with cooking!

It's hard to decide that business will be for a later time but as moms we've got to know our priorities.

The weather this year has been c-r-a-z-y lately! Which had led to school to be cancelled, early outs, late starts. Honestly we haven't had a full week of school since before Christmas break and we're well into February!

If you are a work from home mom, building a business, or even working at a job, you know that routines are what make our daily life possible. You have found a way to fit in work for your home business or career while still being a mom.

But what happens when life turns things upside down and your routine is thrown off day after day? In the short term, you just need to take a deep breath and offer it up to God. Trust that as you focus on your kids, He'll focus on your business.

Learn to include your kids in what you're doing.

If you're making supper, allow...

Set Your Priorities as a Momprenuer

Many moms who are working at a job or building a home business find it hard to balance business and family. Especially because the root of our reason for business/career is to provide for our family.

If you're not careful though, you'll find one area pushing the other out which leads to overwhelm.

My number one tip on balancing priorities is always in planning for success because failure to plan is a plan to fail.

We can only balance our time when we know where our time is supposed to be allocated.

So if you know that you have a block of time in the morning to do chores and a block of time in the afternoon to do business, then you're free to spend the time in between focused on your kids!

Without this plan, moms have a tendency to do to all things at once.

And do you know what that leads to? Dissatisfaction in everyone!

The kids feel neglected because you're working while playing. You feel frustrated because the kids are acting up while you're trying to do a time-sensitive business...

How to Be Productive at Naptime Without Worrying About Making Noise

We’re moms, we have stuff to do! But it’s nap time & we’re afraid to make any noise!

What’s a girl to do?! Today I’m sharing how I’ve handled this with my twins & it works like a charm!

Sometimes as a moms, so much of the household duties fall on our shoulders. Unfortunately, when something pops up that takes a lot of our attention, we get so focused on that task that our house just kind of falls to the wayside and we end up in a giant mess.

The only time that we can really make some good headway on that is during nap time. Right? If you've got young kids, you know that nap time is the prime time because they're not following you around making a mess as you clean up.

That's the situation that I'm in today.

So I've been super, super focused lately....on you guys!

Because I'm working hard on a course for you called The Busy Mom's Guide to Taxes. (I've got everything shot, videos prepped, everything's ready except for the final touches...

We have one life to live, how are you spending it?

When you sit back and think of your life, is it filled with saying "not now" or is it filled with saying "sure, why not"? Today I listened to an amazing coaching call in Mom Mastery University that talked about the 17 Habits of a Highly Effective Mom. Do you know what one of those habits is? Saying yes to experiencing life.

At first I was confused on why this would be an important habit but as we delved deeper into the meaning I realized that this habit is about living life to the fullest rather than living it to go to a job, keep a clean house, make meals, get your kids to their appointments/obligations, & make sure homework is done.

I always used to tell my husband that I didn't think God created us just to spend our life working at a job all day long. After quitting my job when the twins were born so I could be a stay at home mom, I thought - I'm now spending my days at a "job" I've always dreamed of having. But after today's coaching call I'm looking at what I do day in and...
